120 new bikehangars are currently being installed across the borough, providing secure cycle storage for residents who want to travel more sustainably. The additions mean that Wandsworth is rolling out the most ambitious bikehangar programme in any local authority area, bringing the total number of bikehangars in Wandsworth to 347, with more to come. We hosted the launch of the new GLL Literary Foundation at Battersea Library yesterday (20 March) in recognition of Wandsworth’s role in championing libraries, supporting local authors and welcoming over 1 million visits to our libraries last year.
We are funding more improvements to local transport infrastructure, schools, open spaces and sporting and community facilities across the borough, thanks to a raft of enforcement action to recover unpaid contributions from developers.
