The leaders of four London boroughs: Wandsworth, Richmond, Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea have written jointly to the Chancellor urging the Government to rethink plans for a new High Value Council Tax Surcharge, or ‘Mansion Tax’, warning it would unfairly target residents who already contribute heavily to the public finances.

Construction starts on next phase of Battersea Power Station development

Battersea Power Station Development Company and Sisk have broken ground on Prospect Place South, the next phase of development for the 42-acre riverside neighbourhood. The Leader of Wandsworth Council, Cllr Robert Morritt, welcomed growth for the area as he attended a ground-breaking ceremony to mark the start of construction.
